We are using a math fact fluency program called XtraMath this year. XtraMath helps develop automaticity and can make students more comfortable with their basic math facts. A strong math fact foundation will help your child succeed when learning more advanced math like fractions or algebra. XtraMath is available for free through its website, or you can help support their nonprofit mission and download the XtraMath mobile app (available for Apple, Android, and Amazon devices) for a one-time nominal fee. These app purchases are invested back into the organization and provide product support.
What you should do:
Download the mobile app or go to xtramath.org. In the app, tap Enter code on the homescreen (look for the yellow sticky note). On the website, click Enroll on the right side of the page. Enter the code above and your email address, and follow the instructions to sign in or create an account. This is important even if you’ve used XtraMath before and your child is already linked to your account. It prevents confusion with duplicate accounts, and both you and I will be able to see their progress. The XtraMath Family Intro provides a quick overview of the program. You can find this guide, a FAQ, and more at XtraMath's resources page*.
