The Portrait
REMEMBER when we learned to draw a person's face?  The Portrait
This week, I want you to draw a portrait of a person in your family.
Things to remember:
  • The head is an oval (egg shape) with the pointy part at the bottom
  • eyes are in the CENTER
  • ears line up with the eyes
  • nose is in the center of the eyes and chin
  • mouth is the center of the nose and chin
  • Artists ALWAYS draw the lines lightly so they can be erased

Watch this quick video on how to make a portrait:

Color your portrait with anything you have at home....crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint

***Don't forget to take a picture and share with the #dtschoolsrock
