Our Primary and Elementary/Middle School Health Offices are here for your support and questions during the COVID 19 Pandemic and for any other health related issues.   If you have any questions about an illness for your student or a family member, we will do our best to guide you on what steps to take. There is a lot of information out there through both the media and social media. Mrs. Herlihy and I are updated regularly by the Cape May County Department of Health and the State of New Jersey Department of Health and can assist you with the most current recommendations. We are in touch frequently with the CMCDOH do ensure that we are following their guidelines for isolation and quarantine with regards to our staff and students. WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR CHILD IS ILL

If your child is  experiencing any one (1) symptom from the Guideline List below, or any two (2) symptoms from the second list - PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD AND ALL SCHOOL-AGED SIBLINGS HOME.

Notify the school nurse if this is the reason for the absence. Please note, your children will be counted as absent but this will not be held against them in any way.  Contact an Administrator if you think your child will be out for an extended period of time.

Guideline List any (1) Symptom:                    OR   Guideline List any (2) symptoms:

Temp of 100 degrees or greater Chills Congestion

Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath     Runny Nose Diarrhea

Chest pressure Fatigue Nausea or Vomiting

New loss of taste or smell Muscle Aches Headaches

Cough

  Precautions are necessary in the school setting so please be patient and understanding if your student is sent home with symptoms. Dennis Township follows school policies in conjunction with NJ DOH Guidelines:
