Basic Rights in Special Education: An Introduction to the Special Education Process - March 3, 2021

This presentation provides families with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities as parents of children with special needs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the New Jersey Code, and Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act.

All students with disabilities should be considered for assistive technology. How is your school district doing with this? Learning about AT consideration checklists, ways to discuss AT in IEP meetings, AT evaluations, and the importance of training.
Look to the Future: Transition from School to Adult Life - April 7, 2021

Transition planning is crucial to increasing successful outcomes for life after high school. This workshop will discuss issues related to transitioning from school to adult life.
