A Christmas Carol

7th Grade students in Ms Unkle’s classes honored Scrooge’s transformation in A Christmas Carol with a Victorian tea party. Students researched the historical context of Victorian England before reading A Christmas Carol so they could better understand the novella and then used that information to plan a proper Victorian tea party. #dtschoolsrock

Coat Drive

The Dennis Township Education Association coat drive was a huge success. The staff, students and community donated over 143 coats and hundreds of hats, gloves and scarves. They are loaded up and ready to be delivered to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Dennisville United Methodist Church Clothes Closet, St. Casimir’s Church of Woodbine, and Dennis Township Secret Santa. 3rd Grade Holiday Literature

Mrs. Curvan’s third graders recently competed a weeklong exploration of holiday-themed literature. They read several seasonal books, including, The Littlest Reindeer, The Polar Express, and An Orange for Frankie. Students identified the literary elements in each story, and participated in some fun and festive activities that helped the stories come to life. #dtschoolsrock
