Career Fair

Dennis Township elementary and middle school students enjoyed a career fair on Friday, February 24th, where they learned about careers ranging from law enforcement with the New Jersey State Police to running a seafood restaurant to selling real estate to HVAC repair.

Students traveled around stations set up in the gym, music room and the hallway in small groups based on their interests and the results of career surveys.

Dennis Township Guidance Counselor Monica DiVito organized the event as part of the district's focus on introducing students to career options starting in fourth grade.

Cape May County Technical High School students, including many Dennis Township alumni, acted as presenters for various career fields including video and television production, HVAC and mechanical engineering and culinary arts and cooking.

Other members of the community donated their time to participate, including Peg O'Donnell of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Carrie Foulke of Carmen's Restaurant in Sea Isle City, and Matt Pittaluga from Hank Sauce.

Students found the experience informative, interesting and inspiring.
