No One Eats Alone

Following up on the Great Kindness Challenge, Dennis Township guidance counselor Monica DiVito helped elementary and middle school students celebrate National No One Eats Alone Day on Friday, February 10th.

Each lunch table in the cafeteria was decorated with a balloon and themed napkins and students were encouraged to make sure everyone was part of a welcoming group at lunch.

"Participating in No One Eats Alone Day is just another way to make sure our students feel like they're part of the school community," explains DiVito.  She says that these types of programs are an important part of developing and maintaining a positive and supportive school climate, which ultimately leads to higher academic performance for students.
