The Dennis Township School District is excited to announce the annual Spelling Bee for Wednesday, February 1st, 2017, starting at 5 pm in the DT Elementary/Middle School on Academy Road in Dennisville.
Co-sponsored by the Dennis Township Education Association PRIDE Committee, Dennis Township PTA and Dennis Township Municipal Alliance Committee, the event is open to all students and the school community.
As in past years, students of all ages are invited to participate in the spelling bee. The competition classes are Kindergarten through second, third through fifth, and sixth through eighth. Winners in each competition class will win a prize and then compete for the all around district winner. The district winner will move on to the regional spelling bee to be held in the spring.
In addition to the Spelling Bee, attendees can enjoy the Super Starter Staff Cook Off where Dennis Township staff members will compete for top honors in cooking original and tasty appetizers. Meatball sandwiches will also be available for families to eat together at the event.
The Dennis Township Book Fair will also be open for families to purchase books that evening.
